Private seller FAQ

The questions private sellers ask most often about adverts, photos, pricing, messages and safety on Garaz.gr.

Cost

Does it cost anything to post an advert?

No. As a private seller you get 1 free active vehicle advert and up to 5 parts adverts, with 5 photos each. You only pay if you want something extra.

What might I pay for?

Extra photo slots — a pack of 5 photos for €10 including VAT — and promotion of your advert. Neither is needed in order to sell.

Do you take a commission on the sale?

No. We do not sit in the middle of the transaction and take no percentage. Payment happens directly between you and the buyer.

My advert

How quickly can I create an advert?

Usually under five minutes. You upload photos, the AI fills in the fields, and you correct what needs correcting and set a price.

Why do you require at least five photos?

Because adverts with few photos do not sell and fill the marketplace with half-finished entries. Five is the minimum to show front, back, side, interior and the odometer.

What photos should I take?

In daylight, against a clean background. The four corners of the body, the interior from both front doors, the dashboard showing the mileage, the boot and the engine bay. Show the flaws too — it saves you pointless viewings.

Can I change the advert after publishing?

Yes, at any time. You change details, price and photos from the Edit button. If you lower the price, everyone who saved it sees that, and a price-drop badge appears.

How long does an advert stay up?

As long as you want. It does not expire automatically. When you sell, mark it sold so your slot frees up and you stop getting calls.

Can I sell a motorcycle, scooter or parts?

Yes. Garaz.gr covers cars, motorcycles, scooters and parts, each with their own fields and filters.

Pricing

How do I find the right price?

As you fill in your advert we show where your price sits against similar vehicles on the market. Also look at what others are asking for the same model, year and comparable mileage.

What does "good price" mean?

That the price is noticeably below the average for comparable vehicles. It is a statistical comparison, not a valuation of that particular vehicle.

What is the "parked price"?

The price for a vehicle taken off the road with road tax unpaid. It is a second, public price — not a discount — and you enter it optionally on the form.

When I'm buying

How do I contact a seller?

From the advert itself, by message. If the seller has published a phone number, you will also see a reveal-number button.

What is my Garage?

The list of vehicles you have saved. From there you compare them with each other and see whether their price has dropped.

What does the trust score mean?

A score from 0 to 100 showing how complete and consistent an advert is: photos, filled-in specification, contact details and history. It describes the advert, not the vehicle.

Can I trust an advert?

Always view the vehicle in person before paying anything. Garaz.gr does not physically inspect vehicles. The buyer's guide has a full inspection checklist and the warning signs worth knowing.

Problems

I found a suspicious advert.

Report it with the report button on its page. Say what looked wrong; reports are reviewed and adverts are taken down when confirmed.

Another user is harassing me.

You can block them from the conversation and report them. Once blocked they cannot write to you again.

I can't publish — it says I've reached my limit.

As a private seller you have 1 active vehicle advert. Mark the previous one sold or delete it and the slot frees up immediately. If you sell several vehicles, you need a dealer account.

I want to delete my account and my data.

Send a request from your account's email address to info@garaz.gr. See the privacy policy for what is deleted immediately and what we keep by legal obligation.
