Step-by-step guidance on accounts, adverts, photos, messages and safety on Garaz.gr.

Start here

Garaz.gr is a classifieds marketplace for cars, motorcycles, scooters and parts in Greece. Registration is free, and posting an advert takes a few minutes because the first draft is written for you by AI from your photos.

  1. Create an accountWith Google, with Apple, or with an email address — there are no passwords. We send a sign-in link to your inbox.
  2. Upload photosAt least 5 clear photos of the vehicle. From those we fill in make, model, specification and a first description.
  3. Check and publishCorrect anything that needs it, set your price and publish. The advert appears immediately in search, on the map and in reels.
  4. Answer your messagesBuyers write to you inside Garaz.gr. Price offers happen in the same conversation.

Account and sign-in

How do I sign in without a password?

You give us your email address and we send you a link. Open the link from your inbox and you are in. Alternatively, sign in with your Google or Apple account. We store no passwords, so there is no password to leak.

I didn't receive the sign-in link.

Check your spam folder and that the address was typed correctly. The link expires, so if you were slow, request a fresh one from the same page. If it still does not arrive, write to info@garaz.gr from the address you want to use.

How do I change my name, phone or postcode?

Under My account → Details. That is also where you set the display name others see on your adverts, so your full legal name need not appear.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Send a request from your account's email address to info@garaz.gr and we will delete it along with your adverts. See the privacy policy for what we keep afterwards and for how long.

Adverts and photos

How many photos do I need?

At least 5 for a vehicle advert to be published. Private sellers get 5 free slots and dealers get 12. If you want more, each pack adds 5 slots for €10 including VAT, up to 30 photos per advert.

What does the AI badge on a field mean?

That the value was suggested by AI from your photos and you have not confirmed it yet. The badge clears as soon as you edit the field. Responsibility for the accuracy of an advert always rests with the seller, so read the fields before you publish.

How many adverts can I have?

As a private seller, 1 active vehicle advert and up to 5 parts adverts. Marking a vehicle sold frees the slot immediately. If you sell professionally, you need a dealer account.

How do I edit or remove an advert?

From My account, or from the advert itself via the Edit button. There you change details and photos, mark it sold, or delete it permanently.

Why does an advert show "good price"?

We compare the asking price with similar vehicles on the market — same make and model, close year and mileage. It is an indication, not a valuation, and it does not replace inspecting the vehicle.

Messages and offers

Where are my messages?

Behind the envelope icon at the top right, or at /messages. Every conversation is tied to one advert, so you always know which vehicle is being discussed.

How do I make an offer?

Inside the conversation, if the seller has enabled offers. The offer appears as a card with accept, decline and counter buttons. Only one offer is live at a time, so the negotiation reads as a chain.

Someone is harassing me. What do I do?

From the conversation you can block them or report their behaviour. Reports go to our moderators and are reviewed. Do not continue a conversation outside Garaz.gr with someone who looks suspicious.

Staying safe

Garaz.gr does not handle payment and never holds money. The transaction happens directly between buyer and seller, so the basic rules stay with you:

  • See the vehicle in person before you hand over any money, deposits included.
  • Ask for the registration document and the owner's ID, and check they match the person selling it.
  • Confirm there is no retention of title, lien or active leasing contract before agreeing a price.
  • Avoid transfers to third parties, cryptocurrency, and "escrow services" proposed by the seller.
  • Keep the conversation on the platform where you can — you keep a record of what was agreed.

A classic scam opener: "I'm abroad, I'll send it by courier, pay first." No serious vehicle sale begins with payment before viewing.
